Location: Basement of the Salt Lake Community College Markosian Library (Off Redwood Rd at ~4500 S) (Where the SLCC Quick Tournaments are held)
February Quads
What is a Chess Quad?A chess quad is a round-robin tournament involving four players. Each participant plays one game against each of the other three players.Quads will be based on similarly rated opponents.
In the event of insufficient players the bottom two sections will be combined and play in either a three round swiss tournament.
Please only register if you can commit to all three games.
Time Control:G/40;+5 (Game in 40 minutes with a 5-second increment per move)Players are responsible for supplying equipment (pieces, board, and clock) and for knowing how to set clocks. (USCF Rule 16B)

Start Time: 1:00 PMRounds will follow 5 minutes after all games in your quad are finishedEvent is expected to go until 5:30 PM, though some quads will get done sooner
Registration:
Text your name and USCF ID # to Connor Phillips 858-264-8806 before 12:30 pm Saturday.
Arrive between 12:30 – 12:45 PM, Text Connor if you are running late. Pairings will be posted at 1 PM

Prizes:Winner of each quad gets $15Prizes will be split evenly in the event of a tie.
If played the top 2 places in the swiss will get prizes based on number of players.
